Plastic Toxins in the News

Recently, Canada thrust BPA (Bisphenol-A) onto the front pages by declaring it to be toxic. Suddenly everyone's talking about phthalates, now that they've realized that BPA leaches out of commonly used polycarbonate plastic containers into our food and drinks! Most of the press has focused on polycarbonate baby bottles and those ubiquitous Nalgene bottles, but there are other sources of exposure to phthalates that may surprise you....
